My Bio
I am burning with a need, a desire to know Something More Than Myself. I've seen a mankind that desperately needs fixing and I would like nothing more than to help fix it.

One of my many passions is creating. If I hear a good song, I want to write a good song. If I see good art, I want to make good art. If I read a good book, I want to write a good book.

I love my friends and family so much-- they make my life so much more possible.

I'm a pop rock/punk rock fanatic and, to me, the most important thing in any song is good, soulful, heart-felt lyrics, lyrics with a heart beat. My favorite band (though this changes like the seasons) is Switchfoot.

My favorite movies are comedies, musicals, Disney movies, and Burton films. I love Hairspray and RENT and Sleepy Hollow and Finding Nemo.

I am a computer nerd. I am an close to an expert at the entire Microsoft Office Suite. I know how to use Photoshop CS2 fairly well and I'm currently learning Illustrator CS2. I know basics in CSS and HTML and have dabbled in Flash.

Current Projects: writing a yet untitled novel and working on some theological art pieces with a friend.

"My religion has no temple or philosophy. My temple is my heart and my philosophy is kindness." -The Dalai Lama

"It is, rather, a matter of faith. By this I do not mean the denial of rationality, but the kind of reasoning appropriate to a mystery which can never be captured by human mastery, and which requires an encounter with the personal to perceive."- Simon Barrow

New Chapter!

0 min read
In case you're wondering, yes, I'm posting a journal mostly just because if I post one today, I can have a skin for free. Woo! Fortunately, I actually do have something to say and that is: the latest chapter of Conquest, The House of Archer, is now up for your viewing pleasure. It was really difficult to get it ready considering none of it had been written yet like most of the novel. But now I've added in an entirely new sub-story and so the next chapter or so should be kinda epic once I get them finished. Anyway, that's really it. Well, that and I just found out my favorite character from the Wicked Years, Liir, is going to be in Out of Oz

I'm tired of looking at that old rant from a century ago every time I come to my page. So I hafta make a new journal entry. The good news is, I actually have stuff to talk about! :D So, I have spent an absolutely massive amount of time doing prep-work for my NaNo project coming up this November. I mean, I've developed eighteen different countries, discovered some of their history, built up family trees to help keep up with how some of these people are related, created over thirty characters and have probably at least eleven more to go before I'm done. I've invented religions, drawn up flags, and taken down notes on events that happened withi

I can't stop thinking about the inhumanity of war. And after leaving a pretty lengthy comment in my last journal, I decided it's time to update this thing again.  First some words and then I'll copy in two journal entries from my wordpress where I got a bit jazzed about the whole thing. During the Shock n' Awe, as a Christian, I cheered on our soldiers. I didn't think about the people of Baghdad. They were just the enemy. And when Toby Keith's inflammatory "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue" hit the radio frequencies, I rocked right along, singing "We'll put a boot in your ass; it's the American way." WHAT WAS I THINKING?? The people of
